ICG first started working with Centrica Energy in 2013 to raise its profile in the North West. We've worked on some great projects and the client partnership has gone from strength to strength.
When Centrica Energy was looking for a North West partner to support the communication of their gas operations in the region, it was the start of a great working relationship with ICG.
Centrica Energy's Communications Team wanted to tell the story of its people, its contribution to local communities and its continuing investment in skills and innovation.
ICG immersed itself in understanding the oil and gas industry. We got off to a flying start with stories about new gas production, apprenticeships, securing jobs, charity support and celebrating new appointments.
ICG identified a range of PR opportunities to provide comment and insight. As the momentum grew, so did the breadth of work and we were soon producing community newsletters, designing and writing advertorials, creating adverts, pop up stands and supporting the business' operations in Canada, as well as digital support.
ICG secured widespread media coverage for Centrica including interviews on North West Tonight, BBC Radio Cumbria, BBC Radio Lancashire as well as a visit from Blue Peter.
Most recently, we designed a range of marketing collateral for the first phase of the Energy Matters campaign, which included community road shows at eight locations across the UK.
ICG undertook a project to promote 30 years of gas production, which included commissioning an iconic piece of artwork by Lancashire artist Chas Jacobs.
