Why PR is definitely the career for me!

For the past two months I have been on a work experience placement at ICG's PR department.

As I am coming towards the end of my time at ICG, I thought I would write a few words on what I have learnt and the experience I have gained that I will be able to take with me beyond my University degree.

Before coming to ICG I wasn't sure what PR route to take, so I wanted to gain experience both in-house and at an agency. I always thought I'd prefer in-house PR however, now I have had first hand experience of agency life and working for a variety of clients, I have changed my mind!

From drafting press releases to compiling research and media lists, I have learnt a lot and it's all thanks to the lovely PR team, Paula, Rachael and Julie. They have taught me so much about the PR industry and made me understand things that can't always be explained inside a classroom environment.

The rest of the ICG team has made me feel really welcome and I have been lucky to work in such a relaxed and creative environment and learnt so much.
