CES has stepped into the e-commerce market for the first time with the launch of a new online store for the UK food industry.
ICG's digital team helped the market leader, which supplies machinery and consumables for the meat processing and food industry, create a new website that provided a flexible ordering platform for its customers.
Alongside the website, CES took the opportunity to rebrand and give the business a fresh new look that reflected the company's growth and evolution in the market. ICG's design team modernised the logo and created a new set of brand guidelines, which were rolled out across all marketing and communications materials.
The company wanted the new website to be a user-friendly e-commerce platform to sell and showcase its products from knives and small items right through to larger industrial machinery.
The website had to integrate with the company's current stock management and payment system so that staff could transfer data easily.
The ICG team got to work designing and building a fully responsive e-commerce website, optimised for mobile and tablet devices as well as desktops.
Built on the popular Magento platform ICG provided a dedicated, fast and secure UK-based hosting server for CES, which includes several plugins to offer greater functionality. The e-commerce function has a SSL certificate set up which makes online payments safer and more secure.
The website is fully integrated with the client's backend systems so that CES can effectively manage sales and customer reporting.
ICG also provided full customer on-site training and support for the website and one of our experts is always on hand to handle any queries.
The website has been a great success. Since the site has gone live CES has generated sales from new sectors, including a company that required chainmail gloves for cleaning the blades of Zamboni machines, which are used for resurfacing ice rinks.
