Our PR team worked with Blackpool Zoo to spread the word about a fundraising day it was hosting to support the millions of animals affected by Australia’s devastating bush fires.
A packed programme of activities based around Australian themes were publicised to increase awareness of the crisis and encourage people to dig deep and donate whatever they can – and dig deep they did!
Following social media activity and PR coverage on ITV, BBC North West Tonight, The Sunday People, the Blackpool Gazette, BBC Radio Lancashire, Heart, Smooth and Capital Radio the grand total of money raised was a massive £3500.
The funds have been donated to the Zoo and Aquarium Association Australasia’s Wildlife Conservation Fund to help rescue and rehabilitate affected native wildlife and ongoing habitat restoration.
