Festive Fever at The Mall Blackburn

Festive Fever at The Mall Blackburn

Posted on 16 Dec 2014

We've been working with The Mall Blackburn to add even more magic this Christmas. The PR team at ICG has had a big dose of Christmas spirit and created a festive campaign for The Mall, to find Santa's Littler Helper. The special elf will spread festive cheer, hand out sweeties and tissues and be an all round delightful addition to The Mall this Christmas. Not only did this quirky job vacancy create region wide coverage in a number of titles, BBC Radio Lancashire's breakfast programme host, Graham Liver, was also interviewed for the position while dressed as an elf, live on air!

If that wasn't enough, the fun continues, as the PR team has also organised the 'Angel Family' competition that is currently running in conjunction with the Lancashire Telegraph. It's the fourth consecutive year ICG has been working with the newspaper and the prizes get better each year!

The competition aims to reward a family that might have had a tough year or finds Christmas particularly difficult. The Mall is also looking for nominations for families that give up a lot of their time to help others or continually go the extra mile for a cause close to their hearts.

The winning family will win a whole host of prizes donated by The Mall's retailers, including a £50 Blackburn Market voucher for a full Christmas dinner, and tickets for a number of Lancashire based tourist attractions, including a day out at Blackpool Zoo.

If you would like to nominate a deserving family from East Lancashire, there is still time to enter, email Samantha Butcher with your name, address and telephone number along with the name and address of the family you are nominating. You will also need to include a short description (50 words or less) why your nominated family deserve to win.

The competition closes at midnight on Thursday 18th December. The winners will be selected by a panel of judges from The Mall Blackburn and the Lancashire Telegraph and will be notified before 5pm on Friday 19th December.
